The founders of “A Payroll Service / The Payroll Factory” come from an Accounting Systems Software and Staff Leasing / HR background.
In 1992 they saw big changes coming to the once lucrative Staff Leasing industry and saw a need to be filled by offering the same full array of services businesses liked and needed, but in an “un-bundled”, non-captive way.
In 1994, after many months of programming and testing, The Payroll Factory opened for business based in Manhattan and San Diego .
In 2000 “The Payroll Factory” became “A Payroll Service / The Payroll Factory”.
The new name came from the many times people would ask “What is The Payroll Factory?” and the answer was always “We are A Payroll Service..” , so they decided to make it official.
